On Wednesday 14th November 2018, Years 5 and 6 went on a visit to Palace Green Library to learn about the Ancient Greeks. The trip allowed the children to become true historians as they handled Greek artefacts and used clues to identify what the artefacts would have been used for. The children also took part in many more activities such as: labelling and building a Greek temple; classifying pottery; learning the Greek Alphabet; and playing a Greek game known as Knuckle Bones!
The trip ended with a performance of a Greek play, some children were able to act as the main characters and the other children were all part of the chorus. All the children had a fantastic day with lots of fun; this trip has supported and enhanced their learning of The Greeks!
